Music is good.Multiplayer hosting requires a bit of extra work to set up (uPnP or port forwarding), I can see this being a problem for some, but if I managed to do it, you probably can too. Community is rather microscopic, but the bots are actually quite decent. The game is not very expensive and there's a free demo, so no reason not to try the game at least.I'm partial to Last Stand game mode, given I like games like Nation Red and Versus Squad, but the other modes are also very good.Tips: Make sure to check your key bindings, especially how to switch ammo types; some are quite powerful. Also, check the overhead map, bottom right, if you don't want to end in a dead-end with dozens of zombies after you. "

The good and the bad news is that you are part of the last 16! The question is . . . for how long? The constant use of advanced warfare has mutated the rest of the human population, turning them all into crazy, deformed creatures that make weird noises and attack anything that moves! We are the last of our kind to experience the . . . Final Days!Final Days is a top-down arcade multiplayer game where you take control of one of the last surviving human fighters! In the main menu, you can select to join or host a multiplayer game, play offline or learn how to play the game with a short tutorial, which is the basic training. In the multiplayer mode, you can easily setup a game with up to 16 of your friends, or play by yourself with four bots at your side. There are four levels of difficulty to choose from. The first two are Recruit (normal) and Veteran, and are available for selection straight away. The other two, Elite and Suicidal, both have to be unlocked. In terms of mode of play, you have two campaigns. In the Rendez-vous, you must survive all 7 days to win the game. Each of the days has a specific number of waves of mutants to eliminate in order to get to the next day. In the Escape campaign, you and your teammates will be locked in an underground bunker, and your goal is to reach the exit on each of the floors to reach the surface as soon as possible. In this mode, you can select to start on three underground floors (20, 15 and 10) and you’ll have fewer power-ups available to pick up, making it harder for you and your friends. The other two modes are Last Stand and Eradication. In the last stand you have to push back wave after wave of mutants. If you die during a wave and one of your teammates is still alive after the onslaught, you’ll be able to respawn. The game will end if all players die within the same wave. In the Eradication mode, your goal is to clear all floors of mutants from an underground bunker. However, you must complete the Escape mode in order to unlock this mode.I played this game with my two great friends, PistonSmashed and DamageInc (check out our video on Zeeplay Channel) and I must say we had a ball! I also gave it a go by myself and utilised the four bots available in the game. I personally found it slightly easier to play with the bots than with my mates. One of the reasons is that the bots are more likely to follow you rather than hide behind Czech Hedgehogs or crates (wink at Piston). All the maps in this game are pretty small, regardless of which mode you decide to engage in. At the start of the game, all survivors will be armed with a hand gun. As a player, you’ll be able to move your survivor around by pressing the WASD keys, and use your mouse to move around a red target to shoot the mutants. Some of the mutants will drop power ups after being killed. These power-ups are represented by small, coloured squares with two letters on them. The blue square with the letters SF will be the spread fire power up (like a shotgun), and the blue icon with the letters RF will be the rapid fire (like a machine gun), and there are more. The one that can help inflict the most damage is the pipe bombs, as it attracts the mutants, who run towards it before it explodes. There are a few types of mutants. Some are bigger than others but what you need to look for (if you have time, of course) is their colours. The reddish one will be the hardest to kill regardless of their size. It’s truly an epic game!Graphically, Final Days looks great and has an upbeat soundtrack. In terms of the controls, they are really responsive. Give it a go either with your friends or by yourself; you’ll have a lot of fun!Positives:~~~~~~~ + Great Graphics+ A few modes of play+ Normal to hardcore level of difficulty+ Easy to setup and play+ Stacks of achievementsNegatives:~~~~~~~~ - No trading cards as yetA superb top-down multiplayer arcade game! Recommend ONLY for people who would like an easy top down shooter to play with non-gamer friends. Lack of any complexity means nothing new, exciting, or fun is here for experienced gamers.Video:https://youtu.be/nr0SDt5IdsILong:The gameplay revolves around clearing waves of zombies and surviving the next and next wave. The game offers 7 maps a good mix for early access but each offer no environmental differences to use within the maps just making them different layouts rather then any changing feel or tactics. You have 5 ammo types to use, quick one, powerful one so on, this adds decision making to the player about which ammo to use when but as they have gone for this approach rather then changing guns implies lazy programming and minimises the possible extremes of which can be offered through the gun system.Zombies are an effective enough enemy, put aside the overuse, this means the many type of threat is from them getting close and it boils the game down to how well you can move back while shooting. The game is early access and has a good skeleton currently but the fate of this game is going to revolve for me around innovation. What can the game add to make me want to keep playing because currently the game cycle is very repetitive, a good game if you have a few non gamer friends that you want to play an easy pick up shooter with then this is for you. For gamers I don't see anything here to appeal to you, suffering from one of the worst things that can be said of the game and that is boring, seeming not to risk interesting gameplay and sticking to a standard but lets see how the meat does between now and launch. "

With similar words +7 Software comes to show us a top-down game with post-apocalyptic theme, dealing with something that seems to have a good look let's see what awaits us.Positive Points•Sincerely, this title has one of the best HUDs I've seen in this last year of reviews, both in their menus and in game.•The tutorial is simple but well done and explains almost entirely the mechanics of the game.•There is a lot of shots / ammunition which we will find as we kill enemies, each of them has different effects on the zombies giving us the opportunity to use them on different occasions.•We can play both online and offline, within the online we can play with up to 16 players and up to 4 on the same computer, really amazing, while in the offline we can add bots to accompany us.•3 different game modes, all really fun, which are: Campaign (In which there are currently 2, Rendezvous and Escape), Last Stand (That's what the name says, the last one wins) and Eradication (In the which will have to go floor by floor of a bunker eliminating zombies).•The game is progressive, to be able to go to a new game mode or a new difficulty first we will have to go through the previous mode or difficulty.•We can start new campaigns from any of the control points, which are activated every time we spend the day.•Every time an action is taken that interferes in the game or if ammunition is collected or the day is passed or something is unlocked, it will appear in a very aesthetic log in the lower left area of the screen.•In the final score the names appear with colors and special fonts, very good detail.•We can move and destroy everything, from moving the skewers and boxes to breaking walls.•In themes of sound ambience the game is very well equipped, having a good sound and an incredible music with a rock theme.•The Eradication mode and the Escape campaign have maps that are procedurally generated, so there will never be 2 equal.•The graphics and animations of the zombies / characters are good, fitting perfectly with the dark theme of the game.•Differences between difficulties are noticed, becoming the highest difficulty something almost impossible to pass.•Contact with developers available at any time.•The game controls are easy to learn and remember, the learning curve is very low.•Really funny achievements and what it will cost you to take them out.•You can edit your own levels, letting your imagination flow.•Something really important is that the game has a demo, this speaks very well of the developers.•It is compatible with command.•The requirements to play it are low, so a decent computer can run it without problems.•The price is more than good, what's more, I think it should be higher.•The developers have the game up to date, launching updates every certain period of about a month and listening to what the community has to say about this same title.•The best part about this game is that it's fun and you can spend hours inside it.Neutral Points•Personally I believe that the ammunition drop is low, and the amount of shield we are given each time we pick it up is, as well as the ammunition, low.•Something I do not like is that the visibility of the area is not shared among all the members, which often makes visibility and playability difficult on certain occasions.•Something I have never seen in an indie title and what I personally do not like is what is the parental control option in which we can put a limit on the amount of blood and violence in the game.Negative Points•There is no option to run.•I think what really needs the implementation of skills or equipment to choose when we start a new game or enter into someone else's.•A story is missing, it is but it is very simple and reduced, likewise for my opinion without giving much sense to the campaign mode.•Lacks a character customization.ConclusionIt is a game that can be seen from a distance what was planned millimetrically in each update, in relation to its content, giving a very good impression. I recommend this title to lovers of top-down games, it is essential that you are in your library and that of 15 other friends.FINAL SCORE: 9 This review was sent to Gaming Until End, through the generous contribution of HellCow. "

A bit clunky but what isn't at first? The concept is straightforward... movement and key frames with curves. It doesn't get much simpler. This is a good start to a great concept. Really interested to watch it develop further. I had no problem in getting started with basic movement of a spacecraft model. Keep in mind it is Early Access... while this means fewer features it also means helping the dev shape the final release with your feedback. "

A few times the armatures get a little weird, things like legs/arms bending the wrong way, and not sure how to make additional bones available to be articulated in 'game'. Looking forward to more features. Having animations play in room scale VR is awesome, and honestly a game changer, but still a lot of work to be done. I have even imported a few of my 3D printer objects and being able to walk around them is awesome. Need to find a way to add an in engine light source or two. Having a couple of 'flashlights' would help. Doing everything through the SDK would be a little cumbersome for most, not sure if it is OK to reupload other peoples stuff into the workshop with the new format, so I am keeping it all local right now, but it really only takes a about 15-20 minutes to convert once you get the hang of it.Hope the developer stays active! "

But I think the game needs a♥♥♥♥♥♥ton of development. You can't zoom in really close, many of the tools are bugged such as placing decoration on buildigns parallelly will always end up in a total mess. And the algorithm that recognizes how far you are going from the ground is REALLY bugged. Buildings somehow float above the grass or create weird sort of platforms around them, and you can not place a door in a keep on ground-level due to this thing. It makes a bit of fun, but I did ask for a refund because 20€ is way too much for this. "

I'm holding high hopes for the future of this game, if they continue to develop it at least.Pros:the building mechanics are well polished, if a little clunky at times. It feels complicated enough that you can build whatever kind of fortress or castle that you want, but not so complicated as to frustrate you at all.Cons: Many of the features havn't been implemented yet. There's really nothing else to do than just design a fortress, be that an astethically pleasing castle, or a practical, ugly monster, that could never be taken by any army in real life. You'll need some imagination for that last part, because combat isn't a thing yet.Or you could try to make it both. This review was a mess, but i felt like this was an underrated game with a whole lot of unused potential, and im hoping it'll get updated at some point in the future. "

Any fans of the original Stronghold or Stronghold Crusader games should certainly put this on their wishlist and keep an eye on the developments. The interface is very nice and everything is simple and logical in how it has been designed. The ability to change the size, shape and style of wall / tower is a much needed improvement compared to the Stronghold games, as is the much greater variety of tower shapes to choose from. I look forward to the future development of the game and hope that the team actually keep to their 12 month schedule and fully complete the game. "

You die when you don't touch the obctacles. I think this game is a perfect example for a college project. It is poorly written. The jump mechanism is broken too. The worst thing is the author is trying to cover his/her mistakes by saying "This game is hard". NO it's not! You screwed up while writing and didn't even bother to fix your mistakes.Would you buy this game even if you knew all those beforehand? Yes, it is cheap and I can make use of it but the game is obviously not complete and abandoned. Why did you give a thumb down then? The game is not fun. You cannot progress through levels because of poorly written collision dedection and jump mechanics. If you are a serious developer I recommend you to quit and get another job 1/10If you are a new developer then welcome to our world young one! This game is about as frustrating as an itchy butt that, at first, feels better when you scratch it but then the itch gets worse very quickly and it won't go away no matter how much you scratch. You eventually find yourself stuck on an extremely itchy spot on your♥♥♥♥♥and you keep scratching and scratching but nothing helps, so you eventually give up and go do something else to forget about it.The arrow key controls are simple enough. You can move left and right and jump with the up arrow, but you can't control how you spin in the air, which adds some unneeded randomness to a game which relies on precise jumps. You can also shoot with your mouse by aiming at a target and pressing the left mouse button, which may or may not require some skill, but I didn't progress far enough in the game to see this mechanic applied in action. The music is nice, but gets boring after a while and you can't turn it off or control the volume at all. The art is quite nice and is aesthetically pleasing, in a way. From screenshots I can see that further levels feature more cool art but I couldn't be arsed to progress further than a few of the first ones. What turned me off completely was the "Flappy Bird-esque jumping through small gaps in poles", which were also surrounded by spikes. That got very frustrating and put my progress in the game to a complete halt. The randomness of the jumping and spinning physics coupled with cheap hitboxes on the spikes got really old really fast. I started to feel like this game was more about luck than skill.I'm not saying it's a bad game, but it needs a lot more polish to be enjoyable. As it is right now, I wouldn't pay for it. Call me a wuss if you wish, but I got bored quite quickly and moved on to other, more forgiving games. The itch is still there so I may or may not come back to scratch it some more, depending on how the developer handles things. "

This has about as much substance as a free-to-play flash game, but not nearly enough to sell as a stand-alone product. As for the game itself, it's nothing special. I knew what it was (more or less) when I started playing it, so I didn't feel let down by the simple walking-sim game mechanics. It was the story that I was disappointed with. A game like this is obviously just supposed to be an interactive story, and I generally love games like these... except when the story is garbage.Obviously this will all come to down to personal opinion, but I found the story to be preachy and, frankly, downright stupid. I don't want to *spoil* anything in the simplistic, bleeding-heart plot, but definitely don't go into this expecting anything profound or emotionally significant. It really just felt like an animal-activist circle-jerk. It doesn't center around some magical deer family oozing with sorrow and deep-seated deer emotion. On top of that, the game bugged out on my first playthrough. Deer Man will create a sense of curiosity, strike fear in your heart, following it up with a feeling of understanding and sympathy, leading into anger, then back into fear. At then end you are guarenteed to cry.Thats all a bit of an exaggeration, but on a serious note I really enjoed this game. Very worth the two dollars I paid for it. The atmosphere is reallly brought to life by the creative style and music. The message is actually very heart felt. I will be looking at the future works of this developer for sure. I could go into how poor the game quality is, but I really want to go into the message. As apparently one of the people this game is dedicated to, I’m a little disgruntled. The creators of this game have no understanding of how wildlife conservation works in the United States. Quick fact: the majority of funds raised for nature conservation comes from the tax (that hunters requested to exist in the 30s and 50s) on guns, gear, and general such goods for wildlife hunting. There aren’t even taxes on non-hunting, wildlife-viewing, products like binoculars and bird guides. Most of my work is funded through the tax we impose on hunters who spend a lot of money on hunting gear, tags, lotteries for tags, and other such things. Not only does most conservation money come from hunting, but a good portion of conservation efforts are done voluntarily by hunters. I mean, paying for hunting is kind of paying to volunteer in areas where deer are so overpopulated that they are starving to death or are causing other species of flora and fauna to go extinct. Honestly, I could go on for days about how hunting and hunters are actually more useful than wildlife activists. Unless that wildlife activist becomes a wildlife biologist like me, they usually do not donate or volunteer nearly as much as a hunter does.So please. If you really want to help wildlife, do your research. Also, maybe donate money from this game to The Wildlife Conservation Society, Ducks Unlimited, or a state Fish and Game department. "

After finishing it there are some things I would like to share that I would have liked to know going in. Do not go into it expecting insane puzzles, or crazy action that a lot of indie games love to shove in games to pander to an audience. When you purchase this game, you are purchasing three things. You are buying an atmosphere. At first it seems a little creepy but by the end you will be wishing there was more. You are buying a story. It's not an over the top story can't believe. It's a story you wish you were a part of. You are buying uniqueness. I have played games like this but they were always a puzzle game where it's an hour long game that takes you 8 hours to beat because of backtracking. Deer man says screw that gimmick, here's the story, enjoy. I've never had a game just deliver just a story and still feel like im playing a game. The only downsides that I have seen are it's lenth. I completed it in 45 minutes and half of that was trying to figure out what to do in the first chapter. But for the price definately worth picking up!I recommend this game ten times over. I will be following this developer for sure for any future titles that they come up with. "

Unfortunatly the game keeps crashing on me in the third chapter, so I cannot finish it. To be honest, I doubt I am missing much. The scope and content is not more than a free flashgame and really not worth a game on its own. But it is the over simplified message and preachy tone, which really makes it not worth playing.I do work in the biologist field and can say that conservation efforts are a bit more complicated than "hunting bad - poor deer." I guess the intentions are well, but it is naive and childish storytelling. It is also never a good sign, when a game has to tell me that I should be inspired by its story. Good Soundtrack though! "

It's a walking simulator game with weather effects (snow drifts, flies buzz, etc) and a run-function, and it doesn't set my computer on fire. That alone would sell me on this game. However, what makes me a little ambivalent is the moral of the game. The deer man is a dude in a mask, running around trying to scare hunters because once he was a substinance hunter who shot a mother deer and his heart broke when he saw her fawn curling up beside her.Apart from the fact that this ostensibly takes place in America, where female deer generally don't have horns, I am really close to this subject matter. I grew up in the middle of the North American woods, specifically in a very poor, very rural area where the schools all closed down on the first day of deer season. While we weren't necessarily dependent on deer hunting for food, most families in the area used venison to suplement the food they did eat. There were some trophy hunders, only looking to score eight-points and above, but almost everyone had a reason for hunting. Even though I despise the "sport," (it's boring, it's cold, and I don't like killing animals) I understand why people hunted. This is an especially big deal because the story takes place in the middle of winter. Most of the trophy hunters have moved on by the time winter rolls around. You don't run around in -5 degree weather for the fun of it. The fact that the deer man himself was out trying to feed his family when he killed a mama deer should stop him from being too moralistic. What happened to his family after he threw down his gun and ran away? Did they starve? Did they run off to become deer people too? We never find out because the game doesn't care to follow up on them.I looked it up, and Red Mount Media, the people who developed this game, are based in the Johar Town district of Lahore, Pakistan--the wealthiest neighborhood of the second largest city in Pakistan. I don't want to make snap judgements, but it's very easy to moralise about the travesty of hunting when you have money.Oh, and by the way, deer hunting is regulated in North America, and often the hunting is condoned because the deer population is super resilient and constantly growing so large it disrupts the rest of the ecosystem. Many years, you either hunt them or they strip the area of food and slowly starve. "

The gameplay consisted of hidden object searching, but some of the items were not fun, particularly looking for small metal rods - practically invisible - in the cracks of rocks. The hint system required playing an un-fun mini game, that slowed down the frequency of hints. The whole game took place over three screens, and I hope future chapters are much longer because chapter one did not seem long enough for a purchase. The music and sound effects were pretty good, though.I played this game on Ubuntu 18.10 with radeon mesa drivers, with a mouse input. I noticed the game repeatedly lagged for 2-3 seconds, whenever specific puzzle objects were clicked. That was the only technical problem I saw. "

Your goal is to find numerous hidden items and solve puzzles through lovely areas that you unlock progressively. The main difference between the two games is that Varenje additionally follows a story with cutscenes at every chapter, although the game would have been a lot better without it in my humble opinion. The first chapter is free so you can easily try it out and decide if you want to buy the full game, which contains 8 chapters and is sold as a DLC : Varenje - Full Game DLC.https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1448663808Pros : Intuitive gameplay Hint button if you're out of ideas, to unlock by solving a short puzzle Gorgeous and colourful artwork Mostly interesting and logical puzzles Good to train your memory, concentration and observation skills Suitable game for all ages if you skip the cutscenes Relaxing soundtrack Sound effects First chapter is free Possibility to skip the puzzles and cutscenes AchievementsMix : The cutscenes are fully voiced but the voice acting is average Soundtrack is a bit repetitive because there's a track per chapterCons : No explanatory tutorial The story It can be hard to figure out what you're supposed to do in some puzzles, mostly in the last chapters Audio doesn't exactly match the subtitles Short as it takes approximately 30 minutes to complete the free chapter and 3 hours to complete the whole gamehttps://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1448662820There's only one short story cutscene in the first chapter so it's rather difficult to evaluate it ; however, with the little that we see, I assume the backstory is set in a world inspired by Alice in Wonderland, with an asylum, shrinking potions, a fantasy world with animals such as caterpillars, etc.Edit : if you play through the whole game, you'll quickly discover that the game isn't all that cute and family friendly, unless you skip the cutscenes. It's less subtle than Alice in Wonderland : you find yourself playing as a man locked up in an asylum, obsessed by the game he's playing and its achievements. As said, I would have prefered the game without those weird cutscenes ; not only it's a bit disturbing, but it also isn't appropriated at all for a young audience : there are lines such as "I played some Grand Theft Auto and thought : "Why don't kill somebody "?" or "killing people is simple and fun". This might be my own interpretation, but it also feels like the game is mocking achievement hunters.https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1431511640All in all Varenje is a lovely casual game that I strongly recommend to puzzle lovers, people looking for a relaxing yet stimulating experience or just to kill time. You can skip the cutscenes if you want to have a more pleasant moment. The presentation is cute and charming, the art style is gorgeous, and the music is fine if not repetitive by the tenth time it loops. However, the actual puzzles are grating to the point of frustration. Expect lots of wandering back and forth around the same three screens of untidy clutter because this next goal wants you to collect nine ribbons, nine tiny metal bars, four light bulbs, three transistors, two crystal balls, and presumably the partridge in a pear tree is the final puzzle you do once you've gathered all the ingredients. My heart kind of sank every time I went through an actual literal junk drawer, because I knew I'd be back on this screen at least four more times. (You can't pick up any of this stuff until you get the event flag and are supposed to know you need it, naturally.) It's not a pixel hunt in the way the reviewers are describing it, though some of the junk drawers are a bit too tiny and missable. However, it's an Easter egg hunt, for sure. I ended up using a lot of hints not because I couldn't figure out a puzzle, but because "oh for heaven's sake I have 8/9 ribbons and I know the last one's somewhere but I don't have time for this," which kind of felt like the adventure game version of Fake Difficulty. All in all, this game actually isn't horrible. I'm interested in the plot enough to regret the not-knowing-how-it-goes that comes with opting not to continue. I just... those scavenger hunts, man.I may come back to this later, because I honestly did enjoy this enough while I was playing it, frustrations aside. It's just that I've hit the point of game saturation, such that I really have to stop and question why I'm playing "I could maybe get into this, frustrations aside"-tier roughness when I have an immense backlog of outstanding near-flawless games in the same genre that I could (and probably should) be playing instead. "

You get hints by gathering berries and gather objects to progress through the maps. It this one chapter, you can have troubles opening the can door or some objects may not register upon collection. But all in all, the design is pretty good. But the question is, is Varenje worth your time? Well, this is just part one and it's free...so...I'd say yes since this is a demo. DLC to the full game costs $5. For a review on the rest of the game, see the respective review involving that. But for this one? Simply try it before you buy it!7/10 A decent hidden object game, though sometimes the objects are a little too hidden and puzzles can be too rough (this part has a number puzzle I can't solve myself). "

Its not like rebirth 2 and with a short story and a hour worth of nep's.3. Its not like rebirth 3 with the over powered dlc weapons and characters.Megadimension VII offers a whole new way of playing like investment in citys and route building ill explain.investment is 3 different types of ways to spend money to help you inprove your Megadimension life.1.Commerse is, each level you upgrade will enable you to buy more items form the shop.2.industrial is, the items you will be able to develop will increase's3.puplic relations is, the higher the level the better the stuff you get from your country, such as processer units, healing items, other usefull items, and of course the nepquiz and walletcrusher on of the best shows on television. The route building is a much better way of travelling instead on instant teleportation like on the rebirth series. at first you have to use credits to purchase the route that you want to build too. and in the route building you can encounter random enemies when travelling, but if you have a new game+ you can disable that, but whats the fun in a quick and easy playthrough.Megadimension VII starts in 1 part of 3 stories, Zero dimension, hyperdimension, heartdimension.with all these storys you would expect this to be a long game, well your right there is about 40-50hours if gameplay in all 3 storys and you will never be bored there is new areas and Finally a better villan, well a few awesome villans. (not gonna spoil anything) no offence to Arbore, pop-up purple had, arsnore what ever her name was.The 1 bad thing about this game is that if you play this for countless hours, you will love the way the game looks and then when you go back too the rebirth series you feel a bit.... odd.now lets talk about the Gold Third even thought there are 4 members.C-Sha (the Leader): She's more of a glutton than her looks may suggest, and she can't do so much as lift a finger on an empty stomach. S-Sha: A young woman who's reserved and seems very cool, but has a considerably aggravated case of chuunibyou. She has two Dogoo-like monsters who serve under her. B-Sha: she likes to build robots, collect hero toys and serve as a hero of justice. However, her phobia of monsters prevents her from doing this job efficiently. Because of this, she transforms into the mysterious hero known as Presto Mask to give herself confidence.K-Sha: K-Sha is a yandere when it comes to Noire. She's very protective and cares passionately about her, though in a somewhat romantic way which annoys Noire occasionally. when holding a gun however, K-Sha's personality changes drastically. Rather then being shy, she becomes dead serious and will complete her missions without question. Much like Uni, K-Sha is skilled with guns. Now we go with uzume Tennoboshi: Uzume is the type of girl who is obsessed with being cool so that she comes off as reliable. Uzume is exceptionally loyal and honest to her friends, Very rarely will you see her relax unless she is around friends. However, this is a very strong willed facade made to help cope with her position as Zero Dimension's sole remaining CPU.This game has to be one of the best Neptunia Games, because its a 2016 game the graphics are amazing, the new systems inplemented into the game are cool too, and of course new characters, and remodel'ed characters. its a very facinating game that deserves to be called a Neptunia Game. This game is like 3 games in one. and deserves to be $39.99 + DLC costs.at first when i bought this, i thought was that you can build a country from the ground up from one of the acheivements that was listed, but thats alright this game was a really good one anyway. cant wait for future Nep Games, Especially 4GO,Im gonna Rate this a 9.5/10the -.5 is becasue i had to but game in windowed mode for it not to crash suddenly.Overall Best Game 2016. "

Now while it can actually be fine since this game is totally anime graphic (meaning it doesn't really grow old), after so many years from the first entry of this series i would have expected at least a graphic improvement...This last point is the only one that really bother me but, even still, this is a very good anime game. "

Actually, great, even.Finishing my first playthrough of the game took me roughly 55 hours; that was taking it fairly leisurely, unlocking this and that that wasn't absolutely necessary for the first playthrough and goofing around now and then. After that, there's still the "true" ending, which leads to a post-game segments during which you can clean up any bits and pieces you didn't finish off first time around - Or trophy hunt. Well, at first, I want to say that I think this is Compile Heart's finest work to date. While there are some technical issues regarding frame drops in a few places, most of them are not really all that significant. Ignoring some typos, the script and translation are both excellent, the gameplay is enjoyable, smooth and well-balanced. The first and last points there adress two of the biggest criticism the Neptunia series has had ever since its release - technical issues regarding atrocious framerates that weren't really justifiable for the kind of game they were, and balancing issues regarding inconsistent or just way too easy difficulty. MegaNep counters both of these problems: It runs at pretty consistent 60fps pretty much all of the time, only dropping in particularly busy scenes, and has a very well-paced progression with no point in the game that felt too easy or too difficult. The revamped game systems work extremly well: Skills feel neither under- nor overpowered, characters feel unique and pretty much any party combination can work perfectly fine. Now, narrative and characterisation has never been an issue for the Neptunia series, but, pleasingly, MegaNep even improves this, making up a story that is spectaclar, dramatic and even emotional at some points in the end. Additionally, it keeps the humorful atmosphere, with Neptune being the goofy, likeable, forth-wall-breaking protagonist that we all know and love. In other words, it's not just a great Neptunia game - It's a great RPG, period. The only thing that saddens me is the fact that so many people will write it off without even giving it a shot for themselves; still, I guess that makes it all the more special for those of us in the know who can enjoy and appreciate it, both on its own merits and as, to date, the absolute pinnacle of the series. "

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth was a pleasant surprise due to its colorful cast and amusing storyline. The second Re;Birth game was a solid improvement. The third game was even better, but it was also more of the same. At the time, I thought that this RPG series was long overdue for a fresh take, but I started to worry that it would never happen. I envisioned that Compile Heart had grown complacent. They would continue to hammer these Neptunia RPGs out, all with slightly different storylines, five or twenty additional characters, and memes more "dank" than ever thought possible. With the release of Megadimension Neptunia V2, Compile Heart has put my worries to rest. This is, without a doubt, the best entry in the series thus far. The Story and CharactersDespite having "V2" in the title, this entry in the saga has very little in common with "V1" aka Re;Birth 3. In fact, if you have at least some familiarity with the CPUs and the Candidates, then you could probably approach V2 as its own self-contained story. Without giving too much away, this game is divided into three separate acts. Each act focuses on a handful of characters, and their efforts to protect Gamindustri from a mysterious threat. The storyline is darker than in previous games, but it never becomes overbearing, or gritty just for the sake of it. The truly serious moments feel earned. Even accounting for the franchise's penchant for farce, the villains are well-written, and the heroines deal with the problems facing them in a convincing fashion. Alongside the improved story-telling is a very strong cast. With Re;Birth 2 and especially 3, CPU Candidate Nepgear went from mediocre to almost unsalvageable. This is her best role yet. Big sister Neptune has also improved. Well, she's still as ridiculous as ever, but at least she's not completely irritating. Noire, Blanc, Vert, and Uni also have more involved roles in the storyline, which is a huge plus. As far as new characters go, Uzume is exceptional. Her story is well thought-out, and her quirks are endearing rather than grating. The Golden Third represents the "developer" characters that are common in Neptunia games (Cave, Red, Mages, etc). Again, I have nothing but praise for them. Rather than being a mere excuse to include several references and in-jokes, each of these four characters has their own arc. While it would have been nice to see a few characters from the previous Neptunia trilogy make an appearance, I believe that sticking with just the main heroines and the handful of newcomers, was a very wise decision. There aren't as many meaningless skits, and conversations don't get buried by dozens of people voicing their thoughts at once. The three-act storyline neatly ties everything together. The GameCompile Heart has made changes to nearly every element of its bread & butter RPG. The dungeons are slightly larger, house more secrets, and can involve a little platforming. This provides another incentive for players to jump around, aside from the stat-boosting challenges and the ability to loudly exclaim "I'm a kangaroo!" The structure of this game has also undergone a massive overhaul. In the previous games, it was easy to unlock optional dungeons, defeat the side-bosses, and enter a cycle of constant level-ups that removed any semblance of challenge from the main story. There's still more than enough side-content in V2, but unless you're really determined, you won't reach a "kill-all-bosses-in-one-hit" level of experience... At least until new game+.The remake system has been removed from Gamindustri. While you can still gather monster materials to craft some items or enhance gear, you won't need gamefaqs the entire time you're playing. Most gear acquisitions are handled the old fashioned way; via store purchases, or finding them in dungeons. Other unlockables, like the "cheat" abilities (higher jump, faster run speed, etc) are discovered simply by playing through the game. Furthermore, by employing scouts, you can discover additional treasures and new dungeons. So, if you disliked Stella as much as any normal person, you'll be happy to know that she was kicked to the curb. While these changes might disappoint some Re;Birth fans, overall they improve the pacing and atmosphere. Your play-through of the game isn't under constant risk of being halted, just so you can look up how to find a "old dragon ball", an "old dragon horn", or the all-important "old dragon's ?!?!?" However, some of the other changes & additions are a little undercooked. The overworld no longer functions as a "click on the location to instantly travel" map. Now you have to selection your destination, and the protagonist will run to wherever that is. The reason I don't like this setup is because there are random encounters. While they aren't too annoying, I really have to wonder why they exist. Random encounters can be turned off after beating the game. This is equal parts welcome and perplexing. A number of other unlockables such as scouts, clothes, and weapon modifications are awarded by investing in all of the major lands (Planeptune, Lastation, etc). It's a neat idea, but you're liable to spend most of the game dirt-poor. In fact, by the time you have the opportunity to do any serious investing, your first play-through is about to end.The battle system has also undergone some slight modifications. The EXE meter resets after every battle, and overall isn't nearly the "win" button it was in the past. To balance this out, all of the playable characters have recieved more moves and abilities. The combo system has also been revamped. Certain combination attacks can result in longer waits, which effects the heroine's turn order. Combo attacks can also do more damage if certain conditions are satisfied (such as performing a rush attack just before a power attack). The differences aren't dramatic, but if you're attempting to play through the game at low levels of experience, they can be pretty important. Positioning is also more tactical than ever, since enemies (and playable characters!) take more damage, when attacked from the sides or back. While this game is harder than its predecessors, most of the challenge is going to come from early on. The first half of the game is spent with less than four party-members. These limitations alongside a lack of primo grinding points make for a decently balanced level of difficulty. Once you recruit everyone, the battles devolve into the typical attack/special move/sometimes heal doldrums that plague most RPGs. Still, it's nice while it lasts, and players can opt out of carrying over their experience levels and equipment in new game+. In ConclusionWith Megadimension Neptunia V2, Compile Heart has proven that they aren't averse to taking risks with an established series. Taking these risks not only requires a lot of confidence in the game-designers, but also the writers. Yes, there are still times where Neptune acts the fool, or Vert jokes about Blanc's lack of "plot" development. These moments are what keep the adventure grounded. More importantly, the writing goes above and beyond to give everyone a purpose beyond the cheap laughs, and this leads to a more compelling story. While I've enjoyed all of the previous Neptunia games, V2 is a necessary evolution. The improvements to both the combat systems and exploration help round out this superb RPG.If you liked this review or want to see more recommended games, be sure to follow our curator group: Follow Original Curator Group "

After I finished Metal Gear Rising: Revengance, this game suddenly appeared in my queue. I was instantly curious about this game because of the lack of gameplay featured in the promo video/pictures and the near unanimous amounts of positive reviews it had gained. I let it sit for nearly a year before I finally caved and bought it and three of the DLC characters. 200 hours later...I think it's safe to say I enjoyed this game and served as my gateway into JRPGs as a whole, but I'll get to those other games another day. For now, Neptunia is on trial. Setting: I had next to no expectations going into this game, but I was surprised with the setting and was my first introduction to the series's sense of humor. It's set on a continent called Gamindustri (oh don't worry, I'm just getting started) and each of the four nations represent one of the four major consoles currently on the market; Lastation represents Sony's Playstation, Leanbox stands in for Microsoft's Xbox, Lowee represent's Nintendo's Wii, and Planeptune represents Sega (obviously, they're out of the hardware game these days, but it's kinda fun to to think "What if they hadn't?") and each nation has leader called a CPU that represents the current console; Noire, Vert, Blanc and Neptune repectively. Even the younger sisters, called CPU Candidates, are references to handheld consoles, with Uni representing the PSP (or PS Vita. It's kinda unclear which), Rom and Ram represent the Nintendo DS and Nepgear represents the Sega Gamegear. There are also characters in these games called makers that represent game devs, but if I sit here listing every little reference I've found, we'd be here all day. Needless to say, the dev's attention to detail makes for great humor and is quite frankly impressive. Graphics: It's incredibly hard to judge the grapical quality of such a stylized game. It ultimately comes down to if you like the anime style or not, so it's dealer's choice when it comes to this. Story: This is what ultimately sold me on this game. The main story is broken up into three parts, each serving as their own contained story while tying into the others. The first one, Zero Dimension, starts with Neptune waking up after taking a nap in a park (as one does) and discovers a Sega Dreamcast. Seriously. Upon bringing it to her sister Nepgear, it opens up a portal and sends them to a different dimension where everything has been destroyed and they need to find a way back. This is the simplest of the three story arcs in this game, but it serves as a great introduction to the gameplay, characters, 4th wall-breaking humor and subtly sets up future story beats. It's also worth mentioning that Neptune does a great job of informing new players about characters and previous events that sometimes need clarifying (jarring to say the least, but in line with the established humor and helpful in general). Series veterans will say that you should start further back with the Rebirth games, but new players could feasibly start here and not be completely lost. The second arc, Hyper Dimension Neptunia G, picks up where the previous arc left off, with the four CPUs having been usurped by a group called Gold Third and discovering that the world no longer remembers them. This arc is further divided into four chapters featuring the four CPUs as the leads for their respective chapter. This particular part of the story surprised me with how dark it got at times. Or, I guess I should say attempted. To be honest, the overall tone of the game prevents to story from getting as dark as I was hoping. All four stories feature an unknown entity targeting the members of Gold Third in an attempt to break them mentally and physically, though it only really worked with B-Sha and K-Sha, in my opinion, with the entity targeting B-Sha's fear, almost forcing her to cause a masscre and K-Sha's lust, causing her to attempt to assassinate Uni in a misguided attempt to get Noire to fall in love with her. In any other game, this might've worked, but as I stated earlier, the game's overall tone prevents it from hitting as hard as it could've. Still, I appreciate the attempt. The final arc, Heart Dimension, serves to tie together the previous two arcs and finally reveal who has been pulling the strings in all three arcs. It was during this arc that I discovered that there were three different endings to the game, which is perfectly fine, but I was horrified when I learned that in order to get the true ending, you have to replay the entire the game in order to get there, as there are conversations you have to view AND several kill quests that are incredibly easy to miss if you aren't following a guide. Frustrating, but I wasn't as bothered as I should've been since the story was engaging, I was throughly enjoying the humor, the character interactions were enjoyable, and the game was fun to play. Speaking of gameplay: On the surface, this game appears to follow the usual JRPG-style of gameplay, but this is quickly disspelled when you enter battle. The "basic" attack in this game is a surprisingly deep and customizable Combo system, which enables you to string together a series of attacks in rapid succession. Certain attacks also have Combo requirements that give you a damage boost should you meet them and every weapon in the game has different slots in the three attacks (Rush, Power, and Standard), forcing you to get creative with your combos as you exchange your weapons. While not new to the Neptunia Franchise, this is certainly a big change in comparison to other JRPGs that I've played since finishing this game. Something else the CPUs can do is transform into their HDD state. This handled like any other transformation state in other games (strength boost and cosmetic change), but here it's tied to a depleteable meter that goes down as you use it or take damage. I don't like it, as it forces the player to limit it's use, which is a shame because the HDD forms serve as the serie's icons across all the games. It's also unreasonable to assume the player won't take damage in this JRPG.Aside from the combat, everything else is rather standard. You explore dungeons in third-person, you traverse a large world map, and you grind for levels, which isn't as big of a problem in this games as others. You honestly don't really need to grind for levels as long as you don't go out of your way to avoid battling, unless you want to tackle Million Arthur's DLC quest where you battle level 100 lesbian clones of S-Sha, Uni, Vert, and Million Arthur. SERIOUSLY. That fight is no joke by the way, even if you ARE properly leveled. Sound and Voice: Sound effects in this game are handled well. Everything from the sword/spear clashes to the magic spells you can cast sound great across the board, even though they sometimes sound rather generic. What I really want to touch on is the voice acting. This game comes packaged with two dubs; the original Japanese and the localized English. I'm glad for the choice, as there will always be people who prefer one or the other, but if I'm being honest, the original Japanese is much better. This isn't an issue with quality as one might think. The dub is well done and there are even some characters I prefer in their English voices as opposed to the Japanese, but my preference ultimately comes to quantity. The Japanese dialog covers ALL of the story scenes whereas the English dub only covers what it considers "story crucial", though it's definition is dubious at best. Definitely recommend the Japanese dialog in this case. Conclusion: If I had to sum up this game in one word, it would be 'Fun'. Never at any point playing this did I lose the stupid grin that was stretched across my face. Everything about this game is fun, unique, and charming. I will certainly be keeping an eye on this franchise to see what comes next. Thanks for reading and have a great day :) "

The game's completely polished and difficulty is fairly balanced, there will not be any sudden power spike like in the previous entry. As long as you don't cash in on those weapon packs the game will provide you quite a challenge especially during early to mid-phase of the game as you don't have the access to most power-ups and the lack of full roster in your party. Soundtracks are top-notch and while they may still have the same soundtrack from the previous games. The new boss battle tracks are great, it will surely pump up your blood during those fight.I also really recommend checking out the Deluxe pack while you guys are at itThe story has also a more serious and darker tone compared to the other, the game knows when to lay out the joke or when it's really the time to get serious. And with the addition of new system like Giant Battle, combination attack and part break it makes the game have a more tactical approach. But still it could have been more easy in the use of it's meta joke and heavy references to previous installments.Pros+ Overall the best game in Neptunia franchise+ A more detailed 3D models+ Good story+ Great music (check out Deluxe pack)+ Branching story during 2nd arc, not gonna spoil much+ Zero Dimension arc has the most well-written narrativeCons- may have a rare case of FPS drops, but It's probably depends on your specs of course- minor bugs, not noticeable enough. "

I'm playing along and all of a sudden the characters burst into song. YIKES! Then ... hey, this is actually good. I mean, really good. Not only were the voice actors very talented singers, but the music and lyrics were fun and creative. As a player, you get to choose the verses. There are only three songs in a chapter that took me 5 hours to play, so if the musical thing is scaring potential players, know that the songs are well interspersed and again, very well done. In my opinion, it adds to the game and not distracts and fits the story. This game was well written, full of lots of humorous dialogue in the style of classic adventure games. There isn't one negative thing I can say about this game. All aspects of it were creative and so much fun. This game was well worth the price for my play time and I absolutely cannot wait for Chapter II. Hope it will be soon... "

It has the same absurd, dry sense of humor and aesthetics. The puzzles are challenging but not frustratingly difficult. The art is a little more low-res than we're used to in 2017, but the detail is great and it's modern enough that it only hints at earlier times without being painful to look at. All the characters are voiced - there's an option to click through the dialog, but the quality of the voice acting will make you want to sit through it. Then there's a thing where the characters break into song occasionally and the player gets to choose what they sing, which is really cool, but this is an adventure game and the pacing of it keeps it from feeling much like a musical. All in all, it's a fun way to spend a few hours and my only complaint is that it only lasts a few hours. "

If you like music, story, magic, and adventure, this is quite possibly one of the greatest games to ever get made. The only thing that might leave you disappointed is the fact that it isn't longer. This game has not even been out for a week yet, but I am already feeling desperation for chapter II. The puzzles are simple as far as adventure games go, but it's the journey that truly carries this game. This is something that can be enjoyed by anyone, both avid adventure game players as well as casual gamers of any age. "

But you can deal with it, and on the other side if it's your first time you can click as with every other visual novel out there to follow all the dialogues. The game has also an awesome voice acting! I really loved it - the soundtrack isn't that great (it's quite monotonous, mainly on a "light" piano ambient side), but overall with the character's voices and so on everything works greatly. We also have a good save/load function - not every visual novel has them xD - so if you need them you can save whenever you want, even before making an important choice, and follow the dialogues as you please!I really loved the artwork. The backgrounds are awesome, they seem like real paintings, and while the characters are maybe "standardized" as the classic Japanese-like girls, they're still pretty and everything's always in its right place in my view.I'd had really really loved if we could have a gallery or something to see all the pictures! Not the characters maybe, but the backgrounds and so on.. there's no gallery option unfortunately, but still the visual novel isn't that long so that you can explore and see everything within some hours :)Before talking about the novel itself, just another line on the soundtrack: you can actually buy the DLC (I'm pretty sure that I got the full edition from some bundle), but it's just the soundtrack of the game and it features very few tracks, piano-based, and as I was saying in my opinion it isn't a great addition to your library. 3€ for such a short and standard "new age" ambient soundtrack isn't really something you want to spend your money on, but I think you can get everything in bundles and such :) (The ending track is sung but.. not my genre, definitely xD).The story is quite charming, it has many different endings (six in total if I'm not wrong) and it gets deep as you'll progress. It focuses on romance, and you'll play as a man that encounters a girl ("one last chance" will have its meaning through the game!) from her past on one of his trips and well, it's quite nostalgic. And all set in a Western environment. So, if you had crushes in your teen past or made wrong choices you'll identify with the main character.. :) And I liked that the story is very focused on reality, presenting us all the possibilities that could have happened to us if we made certain choices when we were teenagers, when we're adults, when we had the opportunity to choose between our Tara or our job.. and so, there's no nudity or sex themes - I like everything, and I liked this one being romantic, nostalgic and never out of tune. Almost everything is at its right place, and if it had some other options (like more skip/fast forward options, some galleries, a generic "better" way to deal with the "playing"-related things, like the ending credits that always pop up with the related (bad xD) song, the fact that you don't have a menu or it's quite buggy the fact that you can open it whenever you want also clicking with the right mouse button and so on) it would have been really perfect. But as it is, with its light and entertaining story full of romance and dips into memory lane, it's an awesome visual novel. Simple, light-hearted, but also deep at moments and well, it can get somehow really touching. Or, depending on your choices, it can stay shallow. Take your time to explore all the routes - it won't take too many hours, but it's worth the while. And the English voice acting is really delightful! The game's available only in English, but being completely voiced by professionists makes it really really enjoyable. Have fun! If you like visual novels, especially romantic ones without any nod to magical or awkward themes, this one will fit you :) "

I tried to think of something nice to say, but I just can't come up with anything.Let's see ...- Subpar writing- Boring story plot- Boring characters- Poor story-telling methods for character development- A lot of choices seem arbitrary in how they affect the ending(s)- All playthroughs are alike with the exception of slight dialogue changes from different choices and the endings are just a paragraph epilogue- Skip mode skips everything, not just read text- The credits are particularly slow and seemingly unskippable- The last achievement is glitched- This is supposed to be a romance VN, but because the story doesn't get you to care about the characters, it doesn't elicit any kind of emotional reaction while readingTo be fair, I didn't play it with sound, so I suppose the music and voice acting might be okay, but even if it is, it wouldn't be enough to redeem itself. "

There are 6 possible endings though, so there is definitely replay value for you adventure hunters out there. Not like a lot of the other ones I have played in the past, not at all, and I like that a lot. We are presented with a protagonist who is seemingly a very normal man, a salesman in the steel pipes business, this is clearly done to show us that he’s an everyman that any of us can identify with. The story is about him meeting up with a lost love on a business trip and depending on what your decisions are during the trip, different outcomes happen. Now this is not a surprise as that is what Visual Novels are about, the surprising bit is how staunch and strong the ideals and views of the characters are. In this type of “pretty” VN you’d rarely get characters that have such definite ideals and convictions, and for me that makes this a real diamond in the rough. I applaud the developers and publishers for publishing such a game, as I know many studios may feel that it would be quite risky to do so.As for production values it seems nice enough and a lot of the other reviewers have already touched on that so I don’t want to repeat what they’ve said. One of the other reviewers said she found a bug in the game but I’ve had a few playthroughs and so far nothing! Maybe the developers already fixed it! "

That's because the story is really simple and the characters are nice, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, what stands out about this game is its execution. On the bright side, art is pretty nice and the game has full voice acting (...well, almost. Except for the protag), which is a pleasant surprise for English VNs. On the other hand, however... dialogue tends to be the same regardless of what option you pick, which makes it a little hard to know what direction you're going towards until you finally reach the end. You'll probably need to check a guide to finish it. The fact that dialogue is so repetitive and the only thing that changes is the ending makes it a little tiring and boring to replay in order to get the different endings/achievements. It is also very, very short (I have nearly 3 hours on it because it took me a while to figure out 3 of the endings, since the only guide on Steam didn't work on those for me, but my first playthrough took only about 30 minutes), so while it is definitely not expensive, it is still a little pricey considering what you get.If possible, I recommend you get it on sale.
